About Bahar

I am an artist and intuitive painting facilitator with more than a decade of experience guiding intuitive painting sessions. I weave brush and body together—integrating elements of conscious movement, trauma-informed practices, meditation, and nature-immersive modalities—to hold sacred containers for deep release and transformation. Before this calling, I spent twenty years as a dentist and public health strategist, designing community-based programs, mobilizing grassroots advocacy, and teaching future and current healthcare providers the art of community-focused communication, trauma-informed care, and planning. Trained by Chris Zydel and Tim Lajoi in Intuitive Painting Facilitation, I’ve witnessed how a single brushstroke can shift energy, open hearts, and awaken healing. I am currently deepening my expertise in trauma-informed healing through Compassionate Inquiry, a training program developed by Dr. Gabor Maté. This approach enriches the way I hold space for clients—bringing deeper presence, empathy, and a sense of safety that supports authentic expression, healing, and creative exploration.

As a Persian, an Iranian currently in the United States, and a citizen of the world, I bring my whole self—rooted in ancestral wisdom and a longing for home—into every session. I cultivate safe, welcoming spaces where we tap into our creative, joyful, and connected selves. Through the healing power of expressive arts, we become more grounded, more resilient, and more compassionate, both for ourselves and for the communities we serve. I carry Rumi’s “field of love” in my bones—and I’m devoted to sharing that lineage with you, wherever you stand on your path.
